Ben Nevis Guided Walk via the Classic Route

£189.00

The Ben Nevis guided walks take about 8-9 hours. With this guided ascent of Ben Nevis, it will be only you and your friends in the group, so we can go at your pace and focus on your day. Starting at the Ben Nevis Inn or the Glen Nevis youth hostel and go up the ‘Ben Nevis Pony Track’ sometimes called the ‘Ben Nevis tourist path’, don’t be fooled though! This involved over 1300m of ascent on rough mountain paths with some rock steps and stream crossings.

No experience of mountain walking required, although a good level of general fitness is needed to be successful.

Description

For summer conditions (late April to late November) on the Ben Nevis Pony Track you’ll need a pair of comfortable boots with a sole capable of dealing with wet rocks and the odd patch of snow. Walking poles are a great help and we bring a range with us.

Before any guided ascent of Ben Nevis, you will receive a document giving you ‘top tips’ and a kit list.

In winter, normally November through to March but it can vary, you might need a pair of boots that can take a pair of walking crampons, normally called B2 boots. These can be hired from different venues in Fort William.

This adventure is ideal for 1 to 6 people. If you want more than 6 people please contact us first. We do not charge extra per person in the group.

The guided walk up Ben Nevis is a great experience. We send you the edited and graded photos for free and you can add to the memories with a 4k professionally edited video of your day.
