Local guide for Ben Nevis

You need to be able to walk up hill on rough ground for 15 to 20 minutes and do some easy climbing. No need to be able to do lots of pull ups, just get up an easy angled rock face with big holds.

No, we provide all the harnesses, helmets and other special kit. All you need is clothing and boots suitable for the weather and time of year.

We adjust the adventure to the age, fitness and level needed for you and your group. We want the right level of challenge, not too easy but not enough to make you uncomfortable.

It is normal and natural to be scared of heights. Our guides are used to working with people who are worried about heights, or just worried about getting worried!

You do need to be willing to engage with the adventure and we will be with you supporting, encouraging and offering a high level of safety to help you feel confident and calm.

Midges like very low wind, humidity and hate bright light. So a mild wind, dry air or sunlight will drive them away.

Wild camping high up in the mountains also decreases the probability of midges. But if conditions are right you can get midges at any altitude in Scotland.

We do get some days when nature makes it perfect for the midge. That is why we give FREE Smidge to all our clients who book May to September, the most likely time for midges.
